This news comes from Jason Johnson who emailed his parents from Tarija. I haven't heard much since the team has been in Tarija so it is great to know they are doing well.
Jason says they are fine. They got a steak, salad and french fries for $7 dollars. It was a 5 star restaurant. Feeling great. Haven´t gotten sick yet. Eaten sooo much wonderful food, and climbed a mountain for 2 and a half hours. God has really blessed this trip and really worked on my heart.
As I was updated this blog, I heard from Tim and Erika. Here is what they said.
They got into Tarija at 1:30pm yesterday. They checked into their hotel which was amazing. Beds and hot showers! They went shopping in town. Oh, and the food was great!
Some of the Bolivians stayed with them and will spend the rest of the day there sightseeing. They may go to a lake today and rent a row boat.
Their plane leaves today at 5:30pm. And, before you know it, they will be in the states. God has done amazing things in Bolivian and can't wait to hear more.
Check back on Friday for more updates and pictures!
Thanks for taking this journey with me! It's been fun.

ReplyDeleteChip's last update from Tarija:
ReplyDeleteThey left Entre Rios by bus Tuesday at 10am. They were at their favorite restaurant (they enjoyed during the last trip) by 3pm.
They hit the streets finding bargains and buying stuff up. Later they at small vendors along the way. The food is very good. One place sells HUGE sundaes, so of course they induldged. They walked around the city relaxing and taking everything in. Everyone was in bed by 10:30pm. They are lodging in a hostel called Hotel Carmel; which is very nice.
Today they are headed to an area surrounded by a beautiful lake to take in more shopping and more food! Maybe a boat ride too.
Everyone is doing well after an exhausting but rewarding week! Before leaving Entre Rios both the CT and MT spent time in prayer for Angela (the American who lives there) and about 1-1.5hrs sharing how they have been personally affected on this trip...it is going to be exciting to hear from them when they return home!
Chip said the youth meeting Sunday night consisted mainly of 13-17 year olds. Again, they asked a lot of questions. They desparately need prayer that truths imparted to them will take root in their souls and produce godly fruit in their lives.
They leave at 5:30pm for their first flight home. The bus is scheduled to leave Miami tomorrow at 8am and expected to arrive in Orlando between 12-1pm.
Hello All,
ReplyDeleteI'm actually writing because I'm sick in bed with some sort of flu and am wondering if it would be possible if somebody could bring Josh from the church to my house when they get in tomorrow. I live in Altamonte. If you can, please email me at j0yfu1@embarqmail.com. Thanks so much! Joy
Bus driver says they will be Orlando at 12:00.
